TUNE

Yogic Breathwork

When things get hard, your heart beats fast, your breath gets tight, and suddenly you're caught up in anger or panic. Tune is a yogic breathwork practice I've developed over the years so that you can stay calm under pressure. You use techniques that slow your breath, deepen it, and change its rhythm. As your breath calms, your nerves calm with it. You can practice sitting or lying down. It's based on pranayama.

The moment things get hard, your thoughts carry you away, and coming back to your breath seems impossible. Without realizing it, you're taking short breaths from your chest. That's your body's response to danger. You learn to notice your breath, and which technique to use to regulate it. Already in your first class, your breath comes right and you feel the relief. Over time the techniques take root in your body, and you come out of panic more easily.

You leave the class calm but alert, and you take what you've learned with you. With regular practice your breathing capacity grows, and you react less often and less strongly. Staying calm in a meeting, in traffic or in line is now in your hands.

Ergin Ündeğer

I studied yoga therapy at university. In thirteen years I've worked with hundreds of people and led more than thirty retreats. My travels took me from the clinics of India to the monasteries of Nepal, and from Thailand to Bali. I developed the practice you'll work with from those travels and from my experience as a teacher. More important than that, Yogic Breathwork is also the friend I trust most to help me keep my inner balance.
